This outdated kitchen was badly in need of a space-planning and decor facelift. The owner waited until they knew exactly what they wanted in terms of how the space should be used as well as the preferred finishings to start the project. This is often the key to a successful renovation, one that has very few regrets when completed. If you know how you want to use the space, the design will follow. All of these plus much more combine to create a warm, cozy place that friends can (and do) gather in, even though it is not the biggest kitchen in town. This project is one of my favorites- probably because it’s my own. Waiting almost 8 years to get a dream kitchen was completely worth living with those hideous counters (well, mostly worth it).
